This brain break is one a page sequence that guides students through basic yoga poses that transitions children from standing to reclining with a fun Halloween theme. It gets oxygen flowing to the brain and in turn increases focus and concentration, following this activity. The sequence ends with taking a few balloon breaths in corpse pose or Savasana.

Yoga, when used as a brain break, helps with improving classroom management and building classroom community and may increase desired behaviors as students learn to respond instead of react to a situation. Brain breaks give students the ability to physically move around, expend some energy, notice their feelings in the moment without labeling them as good or bad, practice mindfulness, as well as calm and activate the brain to increase focus for the remainder of the school day.
