Calming Breath and Strengthening Poses Part III are posters ready to print and post in a safe space area for emotional self-regulation and calming of body and mind. Posters may be displayed as a printable or on an overhead projector, smart board, or as a screen share for class-wide or group brain break. These four different fun and engaging poses and breathing techniques are appropriate across grade levels and ability levels.
Breaths and poses included in part III: elephant breath and pose, dragon breath and pose, washing machine breath, and super hero pose with mindful breathing.
These serve as a great brain break and give students more tools for their “tool box” to self-regulate and calm and relax when needed. These breaths help students manage BIG feeling, increase focus by increasing oxygen to the brain, increase attention span, and help decrease tension and stress in student’s body and brain. These poses also strengthen muscles, improve balance and digestion.
